ABOUT BEACON LIGHT CIVIC LEAGUE

At the Beacon Light Civic League, we appreciate each individual. Since the beginning in 1941, we have been motivated by the same values that we first established our Non-Profit Organization on: support, empowerment, and advancement. We want to be a catalyst for positive change. 

To address the problems of today, we need problem-solvers who bring fresh perspectives and are willing to take chances. Beacon Light Civic League was established with the goals of uplifting and advancing the neighborhood and believing that actions speak louder than words.

The Civic League's first female president, Mrs. Pamela Rodgers was succeeded by Larry Skyles, who is now the organization's president. The late George Banks, the Real Mayor of Berkley, and Mayor Kenneth C. Alexander are two other former presidents.
